Where to Park
A few easy options surround the intersection of Bloomingdale Rd & E. Fullerton Ave. Carpooling is encouraged โ it keeps the smaller lots open for those who need them.
Fire Station Lot
A limited number of spaces sit right beside the firehouse. Please keep the apparatus bays and driveway aprons completely clear at all times so the crews can respond to calls.
Behind the Fire Station ยท E. Montana Ave
Additional parking runs along E. Montana Ave just north of the station โ a short, flat walk to the ceremony entrance.
Glendale Heights Sports Hub ยท Across Bloomingdale Rd
The largest lot sits directly across the street at the Glendale Heights Sports Hub & Civic Centre. Park here and use the crosswalk at the Bloomingdale Rd & E. Fullerton Ave signal โ it's the safest way across.
Street Parking ยท E. Fullerton Ave & Side Streets
Free on-street parking is available along E. Fullerton Ave and the nearby residential streets (Scott St, E. Montana Ave). Park in the direction of traffic and within 12 inches of the curb.
Rideshare & Drop-Off
Uber and Lyft can drop you right at the firehouse entrance on Bloomingdale Rd โ a great option if you plan to celebrate at the reception afterward.
Good to Know โ Local Parking Rules
A quick heads-up on Glendale Heights, IL parking codes so no one comes back to a ticket.
No Overnight Parking, 2:00โ6:00 AM
Village code prohibits parking on any public street between 2:00 AM and 6:00 AM without a Village vehicle sticker (Glendale Heights Village Code ยง7-7-9). If the night runs long, grab a rideshare and pick your car up after 6:00 AM rather than leaving it on the street.
Keep Hydrants, Crosswalks & the Firehouse Apron Clear
State and village code prohibit parking within 15 ft of a fire hydrant, within 20 ft of a crosswalk, and anywhere blocking the fire station driveway (Glendale Heights Village Code ยง7-7-5, "Parking Prohibited at Specific Places").
Don't Block Driveways or Park on the Grass
Leave residential driveways clear and keep all four wheels on the pavement โ parking on parkways and lawns is not allowed.
Obey Posted Signs
A handful of spaces near the school and Civic Centre are signed or time-limited. When a posted sign and these notes disagree, always follow the sign.
Parking guidance is based on the Glendale Heights, IL Village Code (Title 7 โ Parking Regulations) and standard Illinois Vehicle Code rules; please follow any posted signage or direction from firehouse staff on the day of the ceremony.
